- 1 1/2 oz. light rum
- 1 1/2 oz cream of coconut
- 2 oz pineapple chunks
- 2 oz pineapple juice
- splash of cream
Blend all ingredients until smooth, pour into a chilled collins glass, and garnish with a maraschino cherry and an orange slice.
Frozen Piña Colada – Blend all ingredients with 3-4 oz. of crushed ice until smooth, pour into a chilled goblet or hurricane glass, and garnish with a maraschino cherry and an orange slice.
Gray: Yay booze! These were great and they easy and fun to make. To me, this has always been the quintessential island drink, and it really has a great taste and feel to it. It is tropical and refreshing, without being over the top with the alcohol. Drink up and enjoy!
Katie: These were delish! We have never made pina coladas at home because we always thought they were too difficult. We had to buy just a few things, and then the blender did all the work. Since all the parts of the blender go in the dishwasher, we didn’t even have a huge mess to clean up by hand. Very easy to make! We had some vanilla rum that I wanted to buy for some reason or other, and it went very well into this drink. We have more of everything except the cream of coconut, and you can believe that I am going to be buying some more of it before too long!
